Alternatives to Criminal Behavior

Alternatives to Criminal Behavior

This program is directed toward problem offenders.  ACB is designed to be used in one class for all types of non-violent offenders, such as shoplifting, theft, vandalism and other properly offenses.  The ABC program is divided into two levels:

Level One:

Designed for the offender with an “access opportunity”.  Fortunately for the criminal justice system, this comprises the largest category of offenders.  From a programmatic view point, impulse control is a relatively corrective problem.  The level one offender often displays great emotional distress during the detention/arrest phase, and will be extremely motivated to comply with diversion terms in order to avoid formal prosecution.

Class is conducted in one (8 hour) workshop.

Cost- $100.00

Level Two:

Designed for the more serious offenders who have displayed a predisposition toward theft that usually can be associated with an economic scheme.  Quite often there is sufficient evidence for criminal charges with these individuals, however, there is no evidence or record of a prior more serious pattern of criminal behavior.  Topics include:

  • Values Clarification
  • Impulse Control
  • You and the Law
  • Empathy
  • Choices and Consequences
  • Criminal Thinking Errors
  • Positive Live Skills

Classes are conducted in 12 (one hour) sessions.

Cost per session–$25.00
